Chocheng Spring Summer 2021 Collection Interview written by Kia Danielle Chinese Designer Cho Cho Cheng was born in Hong Kong. He wanted to be a designer after watching a film about Coco Chanel. His grandmother Betty Charnuis was also a designer, so it looks like designing and creativity runs in the family. Cheng graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York City where he studied fashion and costume design. Not long after graduation, he launched his brand Chocheng, a women’s wear line, and opened his first store on Madison Avenue in 2010. His recent Spring Summer 2021 collection, which debuted this past NYFW via online, featured a minimalist aesthetic of black, grey, and white hues with a few pops of color. His clothes are timeless, elegant, and sustainable. What more can a woman ask for? I had the great opportunity to ask Cho Cho Cheng some questions about his new collection, COVID, and what we can expect from him in the future. Kia Danielle: What inspired your SS21 collection? Cho Cho Cheng: The theme of the SS21 collection is the 1961 film Lola, by Jacques Demy, I am particularly inspired by his quote: “Wanting happiness is already a bit of happiness.” KD: What’s the process for designing your collection? Cheng: I start my collection with the fabric selection process, then I begin the draping and pattern making process. Once I have the individual garments ready, I will choose a theme that fit the designs, then begin the editing and styling process to put a show together. KD: How do you want women to feel when they wear your clothes? Cheng: They must feel comfortable in them, which is why I prefer 100% cotton knit underpinnings since they are soft, supple and breathable. Then they should feel confident, which I always attribute to my handmade shoulder pads. We shall all be well padded to shoulder through life. KD: In your own words, how has COVID 19 affected the fashion industry, and where do we go from here? Cheng: Clothing is a necessity, so there’ll always be a demand. I believe the fashion industry will be more vertically integrated in order to reduce cost and delivery time. KD: So what’s next for your brand and you? Cheng: I am a vegetarian, so I am aiming to turn my fashion brand vegan by the end of 2021. I would like to launch an e-commerce by the end of 2020. I also hope to launch a full accessories line. Chocheng Spring Summer 2020 during New York Fashion Week Showing again at New York Fashion Week was our favorite designer Cho Cho Cheng of Chocheng. Cheng studied fashion and costume design at Parsons School of Design then moving to London, working at Savile Row to learn the art and skills of British tailoring. The Chocheng brand focuses on using natural and cruelty-free materials while adding luxurious details to the pieces. Fabrics are produced in Europe, while the garments are hand-sewn in London using skills and techniques from Savile Row. Cheng also chooses to have accessories made in Italy. These factors and details that have gone into the Chocheng collections are what makes this brand our favorite. Like last season, this season used a similar theme of 1960’s movies. Although this season’s focuses were on the films Plein Soleil and Midnight Lace. The collection encompasses the retro aspects you would expect while still having a heavy emphasis on glamor, femininity, and mystery. Colors and patterns used in the collection include candy stripes, coral red, soft shades of pink, and neutral tones. Dresses, skirts, blouses, and jackets where the main types of garments seen throughout the collection. Our favorite look was the strapless bermuda top combined with a matching jacket and mini skirt in a candy stripe pattern, accessorised with large wooden framed sunglasses, a straw woven handbag and a pair of lace-up platform espadrilles made for an ultimate fun, chic, day look that we can look forward to in the next spring season. written by Style is Viral Click HERE to view the full Chocheng Spring Summer 2020 collection. #article #chocheng #chochengarticle #chochengss20 #styleisviral #nyfw #nyfwarticle #cmmediapr #cmmediaprarticle CHOCHENG NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 09/08/2019CHOCHENG NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 09/08/2019CHOCHENG NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 09/08/2019CHOCHENG NEW YORK FASHION WEEK 09/08/2019

Vivienne Hu Spring Summer 2019 during New York Fashion Week Vivienne Hu graduated from the University of Hohenheim in Germany with a Bachelor\'s degree in Finance. She proceeded to work in the investment banking industry in New York City for three years. Hu then decided to change paths because she had a love for fashion, art, and design. With creativity and an interest in fashion, she, of course, chose to go to a top fashion school in New York City Parsons School of Design. Working with top fashion houses like Oscar de la Renta and Yigal Azrouel, designer Hu quickly gained a vast knowledge of high fashion and designs that people and shoppers desire. After gaining roots and establishing her brand, she debuted her Spring Summer 2012 collection. Shortly after in 2013 Hu opened her first flagship store located in New York City. Being on a roll and gaining popularity, just three years later, she opened her second store, also choosing to have it located in New York City. For this Spring Summer 2019 collection Hu draws inspiration from flowers and fruit. The flowers represented beauty, peace, and tranquility, while the fruit represented evil and temptation. Prints textures and color blocking are a few elements we noticed on the runway. Various floral prints were mixed with stripes and square patterns. A vast color palette of blue, yellow, orange, red, pink, navy, green, white, and black are all used. Ruffles and extra layers were added for femininity and romance. The collection is fun, playful, and whimsical. Vivienne Hu knows just what high fashion lovers and influencers want to see during NYFW. written by Style is Viral Click HERE to view the full Vivienne Hu Spring Summer 2019 collection. #article #viviennehu #viviennehuarticle #viviennehuss19 #ss19 #styleisviral #nyfw #nyfwarticle hauturely_mg_5879hauturely_mg_6069hauturely_mg_5902hauturely_mg_5937

Early on, Claudia knew she wanted to follow a similar path but work in fashion and design. Once she gained a Bachelor degree, Li moved to London to study Fashion Design at the world-famous school Central Saint Martins. She then chose to move to New York City and studied at Parsons School of Design, earning a Master of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. After gaining experience at Brandon Maxwell, Haus of Gaga and J.W.Anderson in 2015 Li Launched her self named clothing line. For this runway season, Claudia Li has prepared 40 unique looks. The print motif used was from a lily Li used in a flay-lay photograph that she took. This motif was seen in a variety of color combinations like white and black, pink and black, and green and white. A few of the pieces shown had materials that looked iridescent or almost even holographic. These were presented in shades of blue, violet, gold, and silver. Li provided an extensive range of products like dresses, tops, pants, skirts, shorts, jackets, coats, sweaters and handbags. Lastly, something we noticed is only Asian models walked the runway during this presentation. written by Style is Viral Click HERE to view the full Claudia Li Fall Winter 2019 collection. #article #claudiali #claudialiarticle #claudialifw19 #fw19 #styleisviral #nyfw #nyfwarticle #lindagaunt #lindagauntarticle 15_2048x21_2048x35_2048x37_2048x

ICY Spring Summer 2019 during New York Fashion Week Icy Presents: Supernova showed at New York Fashion Week during the Spring Summer 2019 season. This wasn\'t one brand showing but instead a group of brands. Designers showing included Huajia Studio, Meng Huiting, W-Rong, and All Comes From Nothing. Most of these brands are new to us except All Comes From Nothing, a favorite from the past. Huajia Studio was created in 2014 by Jia Hua a graduate of Parsons School of Design. For this collection she mainly used a color palette of red, purple, yellow and white. She combined street style with an urban mix, something we might expect to see at Milan Fashion Week. Meng Huiting showed us a lot of natural color tones while mixing in orange and red. The pieces were artistic and chic while still very wearable. The tailoring created a high end elegance in the clothing. The majority of the looks were paired with some of the coolest eyewear we have seen. All Comes From Nothing is a brand we have seen before. They selected a color palette of red, orange, blue plus several natural colors including black and white. They used several materials with stripes. The collection also encompassed an artistic feel such as the white t-shirt with an artistic drawing of a woman and yellow coloring scribbled on top. written by Style is Viral Click HERE to view the full ICY Spring Summer 2019 collection. #article #icy #icyarticle #icyss19 #ss19 #styleisviral #nyfw #nyfwarticle #companyagenda #companyagendaarticle icy-ss19-nyfw-vrai-magazine-48icy-ss19-nyfw-vrai-magazine-20icy-ss19-nyfw-vrai-magazine-9icy-ss19-nyfw-vrai-magazine-2

Moon Choi Fall Winter 2019 during New York Fashion Week Moon Choi decided to have her self-named brand headquartered in New York, a very popular choice for many fashion labels. She graduated with a BFA from Parsons School of Design, one of the top fashion schools in New York City. Being a more recent graduate, designer Choi has only had her label for 3 years. After college she gained experience working at 3.1 Phillip Lim. For her Fall Winter 2019 collection she has decided to give a fashion presentation instead of a runway show. This season she gave us the impression of minimalism with using natural color tones and without using jewles or embelishments on the pieces. She presented looks for both men and women as many of the pieces in the collection are unisex. Choi put a lot of time, attention and detail into each of her pieces. Each look is well thought out and flows together nicely. The designer is known for impeccable tailoring, so she of course showed this talent off in the collection. Shoulder pads were added to several of the pieces to make stronger silhouettes. The collection had elements of masculinity and femininity that flowed together. These features added plain details to the looks and contributed to the minimal theme while still making the collection feel high end and designer. written by Style is Viral Click HERE to view the full Moon Choi Fall Winter 2019 collection. #article #moonchoi #moonchoiarticle #moonchoifw19 #styleisviral #nyfw #nyfwarticle #purplepr #purpleprarticle 00023-MOON-CHOI-NEW-YORK-FALL-201900018-MOON-CHOI-NEW-YORK-FALL-201900006-MOON-CHOI-NEW-YORK-FALL-201900001-MOON-CHOI-NEW-YORK-FALL-2019

He studied at both the New York City and Paris locations, thus he has a sense for knowing what is popular in fashion not only in Paris but also across the globe. Each season since 2010 he continues to produce a haute couture collection. Known for his strong structure, feminine draping and detailed embellishments as well as sophisticated workmanship, Hediprasetyo uses these skills as the backbone for his brand, company and designs to help build something unique for his audience and fans. For this Fall Winter 2018 collection, designer Hediprasetyo has produced 28 unique looks. Not only were there womenswear but there were also four menswear looks included in the show. One of my favorite things about the collection is the color palette we don\'t often see used for couture: various colors and shades of green, blue, lots of natural and earth tones of beige, brown, green, black and white. Pints and stitching are used throughout the collection to help draw the eye to certain areas and sculpt the model\'s body. What makes this collection couture is evident in the stitching, detailing and thoughtful effort put into each piece. written by Style is Viral Click HERE to view the full Didit Hediprasetyo Fall Winter 2018 collection. #article #didithediprasetyo #didithediprasetyoarticle #didithediprasetyofw18 #styleisviral #hcfw #hcfwarticle #stationservice #stationservicearticle 1530722535153072248915307187861530718705

Since then he has become one of the preferred designers at New York Fashion Week and for top celebrities like Eva Longoria, Elizabeth Taylor, Farrah Fawcett, Patti LaBelle, Sharon Stone, Fergie, Heather Graham and Melinda Gates. For this season Toi focused primarily on a bi-color palette of black and red. This was seen throughout the collection, makeup and hair. To start the looks and give uniformity to the models, Toi had short black or red wigs on the models. Minimal and natural makeup was worn with a bold red lip which complimented the colors of the collection. On coats and outerwear you could see the luxury that went into the collection from the mink fur detailing to the lining of the inside with a complementary material. Black embroidery was seen on red tops and coats. Our favorite look had dark floral prints used to make a jumper and matching coat accented with a strong collar that swept all the way to the floor as the model gracefully walked by. A few of the looks were seen with a delicate floral head piece that featured orange and pink, but mostly red, flowers. written by Style is Viral Click HERE to view the full Zang Toi Fall Winter 2018 collection. #article #zangtoi #zangtoiarticle #zangtoifw18 #styleisviral #nyfwarticle #lapressepr #lapresseprarticle hauturely_mg_1381hauturely_mg_1441hauturely_mg_1396hauturely_mg_1307

Asian Persuasion with Laurence & Chico Fall Winter 2019 at New York Fashion Week Design duo Laurence & Chico has done it again with another mind blowing show, but this time the audience left New York and flew straight to Thailand! Laurence and Chico is a Canadian based women\'s wear brand. The brand was started in 2015 by Laurence Li and Chico Wang; who met while attending Parsons fashion school in New York City. Laurence is the illustrator and muse while Chico is the Creative Director. The duo put their creativity and love for fashion to good use by developing a brand that is not only appealing, but versatile. On February 7th, 2019, Laurence and Chico presented their F/W 19 collection and took NYFW to another continent! Asia to be more specific. The runway lit up with beautiful tropical floral printed suits, bold colored tulle, flowered ruffles and denim dresses inspired by the beautiful culture of Thailand. What I love most about this collection is that it is truly ready to wear; yet not boring. You can purchase it right off the runway and wear it to your next event. That says a lot about this brand and Laurence and Chico as designers. There is truly never a dull moment at a Laurence and Chico show. I absolutely LOVE seeing their intricate detailing, mixed prints and how they turn a runway show into a work of art. written by Kia Danielle Click HERE to view the full Laurence & Chico Fall Winter 2019 collection. #article #laurencechico #laurencechicoarticle #laurencechicofw19 #fw19 #kiadanielle #nyfw #nyfwarticle #agentrypr #agentryprarticlehauturely_look-1-2hauturely_look-8-2hauturely_look-25

Didit Hediprasetyo Spring Summer 2018 during Haute Couture Fashion Week Fashion Week is more than an event in which you discover new trends, it is also an opportunity to discover various cultures through fashion. On January 24th we were able to discover the Spring Summer 2018 collection of Indonesian designer Didit Hediprasetyo. The son of two prestigious Indonesian families, Didit’s grandfather was the second president of Indonesia. He graduated in 2007 from the prestigious Parsons Fashion School in Paris. He opened his head office in Paris. We attended the Didit Hediprasetyo parade which took place at the Oratory of the Louvre. For decorations the stylist went for exotic plants placed throughout the room, and yellow lights to create a tropical Indonesian atmosphere. In addition, the music in the background was inspired by the traditional rhythms of his country. We can recognize the sounds of Gamelan, a set of traditional instrumentals mainly composed of percussion. Didit Hediprasetyo chose to present rather casual outfits made up of loose clothing and lightweight fabric. We found several outfits made of Batik, an Indonesian fabric, which is often found in his parades. The main colors used were white, black and yellow. Even though Didit did not go for a wide selection of colors, he did so for materials and fabrics. You can find metal, lace and leather all on the same outfit. written by Yasmine Ait Ouazzou Click HERE to view the full Didit Hediprasetyo Spring Summer 2018 collection. #article #didithediprasetyo #didithediprasetyoarticle #hcfwarticle #didithediprasetyoss18 #ss18 #yasmineaitouazzou #stationservice #stationservicearticle151686890115168689311516868935
